A Mother's Love

Caring and selfless with no hint of selfish,
She stands there alone and still stronger than stone,
Yet her hands and knees are brittle and weak,
She; an idolized mother won't make a peep
For she knows that she has to be strong
To convince her loving children that nothing is wrong,
She crumbles inside and wants to crack,
But whose shoulder can she cry on when she is the leader of this pack?
"don't worry about it, I'll do it myself",
She says this senseless reaching for that high shelf,
She tiptoes and reaches but continues to fail,
Yet her fingers stretches and still no prevail.
She refuses to ask for help because that is troublesome,
The last thin she wants is to be so bothersome.
No matter the bad luck  she'll be optimistic and look above,
She'll hide her pain to protect the ones she love.
She will always be that mother that shows the beauty of life and existence
So that her children can live happily with confidence
